Todber Manor Coarse Fishery

Big Hayes Specimen Lake
Big Hayes specimen lake was dug in 2006 and opened to the general public in May 2007. The lake is 8.5 acres in size and stocked with around 750 carp made up of a good mix of commons and mirrors ranging between 10lb and 34lb. There is total of 18 well spaced easily accessible wood chipped swims. Big Hayes also has a stone track most of the way around the lake with parking bays behind the swims, making it ideal for the angler that likes to take those extra luxuries! The bottom of the lake is made up of clay with an average depth of 5ft dropping to around 9ft by the overflow.

Little Hayes Specimen Lake
Dug in 2008 Little Hayes specimen lake is set to open June 2010. The lake 6 acres in size and stocked with around 550 carp made up of a good mixture of mirrors and commons ranging between 10 and 30lb. There are a total of 15 well spaced wood chipped swims which can be accessed from the stone track that goes all the way around the lake. The bottom of the lake is clay with an average depth 6ft going down to 9ft at the deepest point.

The Paddock Lake
The Paddock lake is around 2 acres in size with 7 easily accessible swims. The lake has been stocked with a good head of catfish from 20-40lb running up to and in excess of 80lb. Also present in the lake is a decent head of carp including a good number over 20lb. The lake bed is made up of clay with depths varying between 3ft and 9ft. The Paddock is better suited to the more experienced angler.

Wadmill Lake
Wadmill is a 4 acre well stocked runs water providing plenty of all year round action and excitement for anglers of all abilities. The lake contains a huge head of carp between 6lb and 27lb. It also holds pike to 22lb, bream to 10lb, tench to 5lb and perch to 3lb. Wadmill lake bed is made up of clay with depths varying between 3ft and 10ft.

Park Lake
Park lake is a canal style water offering the opportunity of a real mixed bag. The lake holds a massive head of carp between 8oz and 5lb along with a few slightly larger specimens reaching double figures. The lake also holds tench to 4lb, a large head of skimmers,hybrids, roach, rudd and perch with a good chance of landing a still water barbel. Over the years Park Lake has built up a huge reputation of being one of the best and fairest match waters in the Southwest, producing some massive match weights to well over 200lb. Park lake is also the ideal venue for the young and beginner anglers.

Whitepost Top and Bottom Lakes
Whitepost top and bottom lakes hold a big head of carp from 8oz – 3lb along with a few larger fish up to and around 15lb and provides exciting action for the angler looking for an instant bend in the rod. Small tench and crusians also add to the enjoyment of fishing in a relaxing and picturesque environment. All in all Whitepost is an ideal venue for the young and beginner angler.

  • Strictly no litter to be left
  • Fish from designated areas only
  • Must have minimum of a 42” landing net
  • Large padded unhooking mats must be used
  • Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult
  • Carp friendly non tether rigs only
  • All carp must be returned to the water via a sling or zip mat
  • Bait boats may be used sensibly
  • No driving on the grass
