Spotfish - Where to fish in the UK

Apperley Pools BAA

Report Pool 2

Session rating 4 out of 5

Always head off here in the close season for a spot of pleasure angling.  Not for carp but Tench & Perch.  The best side is the opposite side as you approach, fish the margins often just a few feet out in front of you, try worms early morning or red maggots, feed a little and often.  Make sure you have tackle that can handle snags as it is snag city, plus there are a lot of overhanging trees so a long rod is out, though a pole is fine as you won't need a long one.  A good stamp of Tench around 4lb to 5lb being average.  If the sun comes out there are some quality Rudd here as well, look to catch on the drop.

Made up the date as I haven't been there for awhile, just a heads up really.
